All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. 2Timothy 3:16

Holy men of God wrote the scriptures as God inspired in their hearts. The word ?Bible? means ?Book.? The Bible is a collection of scriptures; a compilation of 66 books. At least 40 men took part in the writing of it over a period of about 1600 years. Even though the Bible is made up of 66 books, it is not a disjointed collection of myths and fables. It is true and accurate.

Furthermore, it has a flow to it, a beginning and an end, and it all fits together as one whole story. The theme of the bible which is God?s plan of salvation for mankind remains the same throughout, despite the fact that it was written by different people who never knew each other; a clear indication of God?s authorship.

The reading of the bible has a cleansing effect on the soul; it corrects us, strengthens us and builds us up. It is God?s word to us, the time spent reading God?s word is not time squandered; it is an investment into eternity. God honors those who honor His word. Give importance to God?s word. Spend time with God?s word and be blessed!
